This guy Maki’s face and arm were severely burned as you can see, when he fell onto the 3rd rail in a subway in Ruggles. The before picture is what he looked like prior to the face transplant.

This is a picture of Connie Culp, before and after her face transplant surgery. her surgery was the first ever of it’s kind.
Her initial injury was the result of a shotgun blast that destroyed most of the midsection of her face. She did not have surgery until four years after the incident.
